6 things your spoonie colleague wants you to know.
If you are working with someone who suffers from a condition that involves chronic fatigue, how can you learn what that means and how best you can support them or at least not make things worse for them! Here’s my thoughts on working with spoonies.
A Happy Valentine's Day
Valentine’s day didn’t start of particularly happy but thanks to my lovely friends, there was a lot to smile about by the end of the day.
Four against one isn't fair
Fatigue, Pain, Anxiety and Depression. One at a time is bad enough but when they gang up on you it really isn’t a fair fight.
Healing is not linear
Healing is not linear. It’s not easy or straight forward. Here’s how I feel right now about my journey to recovery.
Happy Anniversary to ME?
Last summer was when I had to admit that my ME flare up was actually pretty significant and I needed help. So at my ME anniversary, what have I learnt about myself and life with ME?
Everybody needs good neighbours
As the song goes, "neeeiighhbours, everybody needs good neeeigghhbours!" and that's definitely true for me. Tonight I can relax and switch off my worried little brain because I know I have help nearby and that I'm not as alone as ME can sometimes make me feel, that help is nearby if/when I need it.
Little things
They say it's the little things that count, well since my ME started getting worse again, I can definitely say there's been a whole load of little things that have really made a difference. They might not have magically cured me but they have absolutely helped me in so many different ways.
Looking after future me
A little post about things I've done in the past which are helping me today. How I've tried to look out for my future self.
It's me, but on a bad day
Here's what it's like to be me on a bad day. Not the worst day, but a bad day. See the difference fatigue makes to me and what it feels like having to miss out on important parts of my life.
Thank you from SleepyBarnet
Just some of the thank yous I want to give to those who support me and others when we are facing fatigue.
