My big 50 films
Iβm about a year out from my 50th birthday and inspired by my own film challenge of watching a film from every decade of the last century, and my friend Izzyβs 40th Birthday Film Challenge, Iβve decided that this year Iβll watch a film from every year of my life, from 1977 up to and including 2026.
Iβll be logging them all here but if you are on LetterBoxd Iβve also set up a list you can view there.
At the moment Iβm not quite sure how it will develop, will I watch them in order? Will I review them all? Will I tie it in to events from my life? Donβt know yet but Iβm definitely starting with the 70s and Iβm adding in titles of films I know I definitely want to watch for each year so thatβs a start!
No doubt there will be some years Iβll be stuck with what to watch so if you follow me on Facebook or Insta, look out for some film picking polls to help me choose. In the meantime, if youβve got suggestions, pop them in the comments!
