The Sunday Session, our monthly Facebook live, craft demo/chat, launched last month, has been rebranded as The Happy Barnet Show & Tell...partly because this month... well, it's on a Saturday not a Sunday! :)
I'm also super excited to introduce our first guest crafter, the lovely and talented Samantha Currie. Sam runs the brilliant Doris and Hazel making and selling fabulous bag sets and has a gorgeous collection of sewing machines, but this month, Sam is going to share another crafting passion of hers with us in a live video chat about paper crafts, die cutting and embossing. You’ll get a chance to watch her demo and ask any questions you have. We'd also love you to post any questions you have in the comments here so Sam can make sure she gives you all the info you want.
When: Saturday, 23rd February 2019, 11am
Where: Happy Barnet Facebook Group (you’ll need to join ahead of time)
Here's Sam herself to tell you more about what she's got planned for us, hope you can join us on the day!
”Until 11 years ago I was a regular contributor to paper crafting magazines. I designed and made greetings cards and other paper crafts and wrote ‘how to’ articles. I recently decided to rekindle my paper crafting in a very small way and would really like to demo a few simple techniques.
I’ll be showing you how to use a die cutting machine to cut shapes from card and do some ‘dry embossing’. I’ll also show you how to use rubber stamps, embossing powder and a heat gun to create another type of embossing effect.
Hopefully this will inspire you to have a go yourself! “
Don’t forget, the Happy Barnet Facebook Group is a closed group so you’ll need to join the group to watch the demo!
